Wired For Wine:  The sun is out today, so the Acacia Carneros Chardonnay has us dreaming about outdoor barbecues and picnics!  This Chardonnay's butter, toast and lovely fruit flavors combine beautifully with its spot-on balance of minerality and acidity to deliver a fresh white perfect for seafood, shellfish and white meats like chicken and pork.  Pour your first silky glass and start the festivities in the back yard with bite-sized lobster cakes and a ginger aioli.  Yummy!  The wonderful acidity of this Acacia works very well with rich ingredients like butter, cream and mayonnaise.  If you'd like to start off with something lighter, a classic Caesar salad is just what you need.  The Carneros Chardonnay's Chablis-like elegance is delicious with salads and vegetables, and will pair gorgeously with the Parmesan and creamy dressing of the Caesar.  On to the main course.  We highly recommend decadent fried chicken with cheesy grits and grilled carrots and asparagus on the side.  You deserve it.  Or, a simply grilled halibut steak with a light coating of toasted almonds will bring out the buttered toast in this expressive Chardonnay.  Savor your last chilled glass with the apricot, butterscotch and grilled bread nuances of a French Comte cheese.  Time to go outside winelovers!
