Bodega Legaris Reserva Ribera del Duero 2005
Wine & Spirits: "At first, ripe, voluptuous fruit gives this an international style, impressive for its luxurious texture. But air takes it into another dimension, building on the fruit with a mineral note close to graphite and a structure that only becomes more tense and monolithic. Leave it in a decanter for several hours, and you'll have a great match for roast wild boar." Jun 2011
Winery: "Deep Bordeaux red with garnet hues. Dominant notes of very ripe black fruit on the nose, even hints of blackberry and cherry preserve. These are combined with underlying toasty notes of noble woods, coffee, cocoa and sweet spices. On the palate it has excellent body with velvety tannins and is rounded with lingering flavours. We recommend decanting this wine. The wine is at an optimum moment for consumption but still has good potential for maturing over the next 7 years under the right conditions."
