Bodegas Primicia Crianza Rioja 2004
Wired For Wine: "Crianza", loosely translated as nursery, refers to its DOC classification as a wine that must spend one year in French or American oak in a bordelaise-size barrel (225 liters) before being released. The 2004 Bodegas Primicia Crianza, aged in American oak, is medium- to full-bodied red with plenty of fruit, firm structure, and well balanced. Drinks well now through 2014. Crianza pairs beautifully with Manchego cheese as an appetizer or tasty last course. For the main event, this Spanish wine is a sure thing with any lamb dish. It will also sit very nicely next to barbecued or roast pork. The Rioja accompanies sauteed or stewed vegetables very well. Raid your local farmer's market for a fabulous late summer meal. Enjoy! Size: 750 ml Varietal: 100% Tempranillo Alcohol: 13.5% Vintage: 2004 Region: Denominación de Origen Calificada, southwestern Spain
