Robert Parker, Jr.-Wine Advocate:  Rated as A very good wine displaying various degrees of finesse and flavor, as well as character with no noticeable flaws.  "Rejadorada’s unoaked 2008 Rosum is 85% Tinta de Toro and 15% Garnacha Centenaria (over 100 years of age) with an alluring bouquet of spice box, licorice, espresso, and blackberry that jumps from the glass. On the palate it is ripe, succulent, concentrated, and pleasure-bent. This excellent value will drink nicely over the next 6 years. "  Apr 2010

Winery:  "Rosum offers sweet aromas of red flowers ( roses, coincidentally), black cherries and a whiff of black pepper. Plenty of bright fruit in the mouth—loaded with blackberries, black cherries and currants—the mid-palate is full without being heavy, and it finishes with fennel, earth, and a pronounced minerality often hard to focus on with Toro. Proof to me that, very often, wood gets in the way of a good glass of wine."

Wired For Wine:  Rosum -the Rose- is the name the Roman emperors employed when referring to the wines from Toro they were sending back to Rome as far back as in 250 B .C.  It's fitting, seeing as the winemaker, Pablo's family has been growing grapes in Toro longer than recorded history can show us.  This Bodegas Rejadorado Rosum Joven is classically delicious, highly versatile and a terrific price to boot.  It will pair gallantly with most any meat, roasted, stewed or grilled.  What are you hungry for?  We say start the festivities a la española with a couple of mouth-watering bocatas, or sandwiches, to share.  We love the ripe, bright fruit of this Rejadorado Rosum with a Bocata de Pato, duck confit, fig marmalade and tetilla cheese.  If you prefer to access the spice and pepper in this Spanish red, we recommend a Bocata Butifarra y Olivado, Catalan sausage, spicy tapenade and goat cheese.  You might not make it to an entree... If you're in it for the long haul, this succulent, concentrated Toro is perfect for grilled baby lamb chops marinated in lemon and cumin, served with a salsa verde.  This dish will bring out the lovely earthy notes in the finish.  Sautee some spinach with garbanzos, pine nuts, garlic and raisins, and your guests will have just one word for you: Mas!
