Wired For Wine:  After you manage to utter its full name, there is nothing tiring about this Bodegas Y Vinedos Pittacum Mencia Bierza.  It is a muy macho Spanish red with gorgeous layers of smoke, toast, herbs and intense black cherry.  Pour your first powerfully focused glass and savor it with some tapas; we suggest chorizo finished with sherry, your favorite olives cured meats.  We love this Mencia with pinchos muronos, lamb skewers.  Marinate them the way you like, and don't be shy with the herbs - they will bring out this Pittacum's earthy side.  We're really feeling the fiesta here, so think a paella made with duck, chorizo and pork would be brilliant with the full body of this Bierza treasure.  A quick option is simply grilled rib lamb chops dressed with watercress, lemon juice, sea salt; it will work wonders with the mineral notes of the Bodegas Y Vinedos.  Open another bottle and embrace the classic Spanish finale: a hard, nutty Manchego cheese with Membrillo, quince paste.  Abundantes comer winelovers!
