Michael-David 7 Heavenly Chards 2006
Winery: "A stylish Chardonnay showing ripe pear, tropical fruit, and floral notes on the nose. Mild mannered French oak rounds out the wine and fruit with hints of toast and vanilla."
Wired For Wine: The Michael-David 7 Heavenly Chards will make you wonder if it is angels you hear singing when you have your first sip of this creamy and balanced Chardonnay. Its nicely integrated acidity, floral and fruit notes and hint of toast come together beautifully in a dry and refreshing finish to make it a great companion for chicken, fish, crab and lobster. Pour your first glass and dive into a decadent lump crab and avocado dip with crunchy pita chips. For the entrée, we suggest pan-fried chicken breasts with a creamy artichoke sauce. If you prefer Cornish hens, they are a lovely alternative. We love the perfect acidity of this Michael-David with sautéed halibut dressed in a buttery scallion, tomato and white wine reduction. Out of this world. To play up on the mild-mannered, toasty oak in this Chardonnay we like to wind up the evening with a smoky Gouda and just one more glass. Feels like cloud nine to me... Size: 750ml Varietal: 100% Chardonnay Alcohol: 14.5%: Region: Lodi, northern central valley, California |
