Montes Limited Selection Leyda Valley (Chile) Sauvignon Blanc 2007
Robert Parker, Jr.'s The Wine Advocate: Rated as "an outstanding wine of exceptional complexity and character".
"The 2007 (Montes) Sauvignon Blanc Leyda Vineyard, a more serious effort, is an unoaked cuvée with an expressive bouquet of spring flowers, citrus, and fresh herbs. Light- to medium-bodied, it exhibits lively white fruit flavors, vibrant acidity, and excellent balance. This exceptional value has a pure, fruit-filled finish. Drink now. Under the enlightened leadership of Aurelio Montes, the Montes winery remains one of the standard-bearers for Chilean wines." October, 2007, The Wine Advocate. For more on rating systems, click here. Wired For Wine: From one of Chile's hottest producers, this wine is such a great value and a nice way to stock up for summer meals. The Montes Sauvignon Blanc would be fantastic with a goat cheese salad followed by roast chicken, grilled pork, or a wide variety of seafood. Great with raw oysters. It will pair well with cilantro, peppers, and garlic dishes. Enjoy! Size: 750 ml Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc Vintage: 2007 Region: Leyda Valley, San Antonio (central), Chile |
