Wired For Wine: The muscular structure and rich, dark fruit of the Summers Reserve Napa Valley La Petite Cabernet  demands bold, meaty courses. Beef, lamb and game will all fit the bill.  If you're opening your Petite Cabernet with the hors d'oeuvres, we love it with grilled lamb sausage coins alongside roasted red and yellow tomato bruschetta toasts.  Not a bad start at all, winelovers!  If it is to accompany the entree, consider doing a whole beef tenderloin roasted in the oven or done on the grill, served with caramelized onions. The secret is to marinate it for a minimum of 24 hours so that the flavor really sinks in. Pair it with a creamy Gorgonzola risotto sprinkled with toasted walnuts and listen for the murmurs of delight. This buff Napa Cab will be a terrific balance to the cheese. Roast lamb with a Moroccan couscous would be perfect too. Your favorite vegetable dishes with eggplant and/or peppers will round out either of these entrees beautifully, and echo the sturdy tannins of this Summers Reserve Cabernet.
