Grapes from three different vineyards have been masterfully woven together to give us this Catena Malbec. This classic Malbec has it all: ripe red fruit, floral aromas, and a hint of pepper, all wrapped up in great structure and an intense, lush mouthfeel. Pair it with sweet barbecue dishes and grilled meats, sausage and even tuna. While you're contemplating the possibilities, luxuriate in a glass with a sturdy Pecorino cheese and some black olives. After you've whet your appetites, we suggest roast duck with sausage and lentils. To play up the pepper nuance, a great choice is Korean short ribs with sesame oil, soy sauce, onions and garlic. Delicioso. This smooth red works well with rich pastas too. We love it with pappardelle served with a tomato-based lamb ragout. If you're in the mood for something simple, the Catena is perfect with a mushroom or sausage pizza, or one with both! That Pecorino will do just as good a job finishing the meal as it will starting it. Or, you could have a chocolate molten dessert with your last glass... Savory or sweet winelovers?
