Have you got a go-to weeknight red that you reach for over and over again for spaghetti and meatballs, garlicky roast chicken with mashed potatoes, or barbecued spar ribs? That's how we think of the Marques de Grinon El Rincon Garnacha Tintorero. Delicious, reliable and a beautiful price. That's really all you need to know.

Wine Spectator: "Savory aromas of coffee, tar and smoke give way to deeply fruity notes of blackberry and plum in this generous red. Sleek tannins focus the plush texture, and balsamic acidity keeps this fresh. Drink now through 2022. 2,083 cases made." Dec 2017

Winery: "El Rincon comes from the Falco Family of Marques de Grinon. Referred to as the father of Spanish wine, Falcó pioneered the modernization of vine growing and winemaking in Spain. Falcó graduated from the University of California Davis with a degree in viticulture and oenology in 1964. He returned home and began making wine, all the while pushing the boundaries of winemaking as set by Francoist Spain.

The family strives to capture the unique terroir in the bottle of each wine they make, and El Rincón is no exception. Here, the vines are grown in decomposed granite, which they believe lends an unmistakable elegance and precision to the final wine. They are acid soils (pH 5.5) comprised of decomposed granite sand (quartz, feldspar and mica) over a clay subsoil. The diversity of El Rincón’s soil profile lends to its wines an unmistakeable characteristic of elegance, giving them a more Atlantic profile."
