90pts Robert Parker, Jr's Wine Advocate

Robert Parker, Jr's Wine Advocate:  "There are slightly more spicy aromas in the 2017 Críos Cabernet Sauvignon, partly because of the varietal aromas and partly because some 40% of the wine matured in neutral, well-seasoned oak barrels for about nine months. They like stonier soils for Cabernet Sauvignon, and in the last few years, this has been produced with grapes from the Valle de Uco. They want to avoid green aromas and also the over-ripeness, and the stony soils are the best for that. 90,000 bottles produced."             Jun 2018

Winery:  "Dark reddish color. In the nose is elegant, earthy and balanced with nicely integrated spices. In the mouth has a great austerity and freshness, with spices and herbal aromas. The ripe, vibrant tannins give to the wine an elegant structure and an amazingly long finish.

This is now one of the signature varietals of the winery and stands out because of its notes of plum, bitter chocolate and spicy vanilla."
