Long Shadows is the name of a portfolio of 7 brands that began in 2000 as an exercise to demonstrate the world class quality of Washington State viticulture. In 2003, Allen Shoup selected master winemakers from around the world whom he felt could showcase the pinnacle of what the noble varietals/blends, grown on the best sites in the Columbia Valley, could achieve. He partnered with each of them on their projects and gave them creative license and necessary resources to develop each project as they saw fit. Every year each of the wines receives high ratings from highly esteemed wine publications. Gilles Nicault of Woodard Canyon fame and the Allen Shoup of Chateau Ste. Michelle fame are responsible for the Chester Kidder Red Blend 2014. Don't miss out winelovers!

Jeb Dunnuck: "More cassis, cedary spice, and dried flower notes emerge from the 2015 Red Wine Chester Kidder. It's medium to full-bodied, beautifully complex, and layered, with more upfront charm and approachability than most 2015s. Nevertheless, it's going to evolve gracefully on its balance and harmony. Made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, and 15% Petit Verdot that spent a full 30 months in oak, hats off to winemaker Gilles Nicault for another terrific vintage for this wine." Apr 2019
