94pts Wine Spectator
Wine Spectator: "There's a racy tension here, with vivid acidity and an underlying streak of minerality, yet this is elegant overall, with a finely detailed mousse and well-meshed flavors of ripe raspberry, nectarine, Earl Grey tea and biscuit. Offers a long, chalk-tinged finish. Disgorged August 2016. Drink now through 2030." Dec 2018

Winery: "With La Grande Dame Rosé 2008, cellar master Dominique Demarville has crafted a rosé champagne with a particularly high percentage of pinot noir, imparting the maison’s hallmark depth and structure. This special Veuve Clicquot champagne has been aged 10 years, per tradition, finding a balance between strength and elegance – two attributes that Madame Clicquot herself would have approved of.

Appearance: Rose gold, with shimmering copper accents. Aroma: Full-bodied and fresh, powerful aromas of red fruits are complemented by citrus notes, and finally hints of rooibos tea and fine leather. Taste: Complex, and in full harmony with the nose, this champagne is redolent of red and black fruits, dried flowers and smoke, with a long, luscious finish.

Pairing: A starter of hearty Greek-inspired stuffed tomatoes, baked until soft and sweet, is the perfect balance for this well-structured rosé champagne. Ravioli with prawns or a rich lamb stew will both pair excellently.

Drink now to 2033+."
