Wine Enthusiast: "Like many of Burgundy's negociants, this producer has a parcel of vines in this renowned Grand Cru. The natural weight of wine from this vineyard is enhanced by the wood aging that brings spice to the panoply of flavors. The contrast with the rich apple and white-peach fruits is just right. Drink this wine from 2023." Apr 2019
Allen Meadows' Burghound: "A difficult nose is presently composed by notes of reduction, sulfur and soft wood. Rich, full-bodied and powerful flavors are also blessed with an impressive amount of dry extract that coats the palate on the expressly dry but not really austere finale. Like the BBM, this too needs to develop better overall depth but the underlying material does appear to be on hand for that to occur." Jun 2018
Winery: "The nose reveals oaky, fruity and floral notes. The palate is concentrated and well-balanced with excellent aromatic persistence. The rich aromas make this Grand Cru enjoyable in its youth although it only develops its full character after a few years of bottle age. An exceptional wine with depth and minerality."
