According to Eric Asimov, the New York Times' wine critic, "Weeknight wines — whenever you drink them — ideally are not too expensive. They are not complicated, nor do they require hours in a decanter. But that doesn’t mean the wines can’t be great. Greatness in a wine is not solely a measure of complexity or profundity. It’s also a gauge of how well it matches a particular occasion, and how well it fulfills its reason for being." We agree. The Camp Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is just that kind of wine. It's ready to drink now, has fresh fruit notes and good, solid structure. We had a bottle with one of our favorite comfort foods, Provencal chicken, and it made that weeknight a very good one; we're going to have it on a weekend night next time! The winery sources their grapes from "top growers and vineyard managers in very high quality and responsibly farmed vineyards throughout Sonoma County to produce delicious, approachable, and affordable wines." What are you drinking on your weeknights winelovers?

Eric Asimov, Wine Critic For the New York Times: "Camp is the label for Sonoma wines used by Kenny Likitprakong’s excellent Hobo Wine Company, which makes very good wines from grapes grown organically or sustainably in different parts of California. This Cabernet Sauvignon, an old favorite, is delicious and approachable. It’s all about bright, juicy fruit, while remaining structured, focused and lovely to drink right now." "20 Wines Under $20: When Any Night Can Be a Weeknight" September 20, 2018

Winery: "Camp Wines were created by the Hobo Wine Co. in 2011 to showcase the quality and value of Sonoma County wine.
