98pts James Suckling
The Renieri Brunello di Montalcino is ready to drink now, or you can save it for 5 or 10 years down the road. The longer it rests, the silkier it will become. We like to get several bottles so that we can experience the wine at different stages of evolution. Decant at least an hour before you're ready to drink, and pair your first glasses with blue cheese bison sliders. They're perfect for the full body and tannins in the wine. The earthy side of this Tuscan treasure goes beautifully with game, so we think you should try your hand at roast pheasant. Simply prepared meats and dishes are best with this BdM. Steaming bowls of pappardelle with a rabbit ragu are another delicious option. Needing a meatless option? Make it a portabello risotto with shaved white truffles to take it over the top. Chi è affamato??

James Suckling:  "Spectacular aromas of dark fruits such as cherries with undertones of peaches and orange peel and some floral character, too. Full body, layered and rich. Lightly chewy tannins. Incredibly long and flavorful. Makes you want to drink it now but it will age beautifully." Nov 2017

Winery:  "Deep, intense ruby colour. Excellent and complex nose of red fruit and assorted spices (graphite, vanilla, tobacco). On the palate, the entrance is powerful but balanced by silky tannins. The finish, pleasantly balanced, is very long and persists for many minutes."
