This Borsao Zarihs comes from the Campo de Borja region of Spain. Located between the Sierra de Moncayo mountain range and the Ebro River valley, this historic region has produced wine since the late 12th century. So, they've got serious wine game in the area... This savory Spanish red is made for meaty winter fare like weeknight pot roast with creamy mashed potatoes, carnitas tacos, or sweet, tangy and a little spicy pulled pork sandwiches. Don't hesitate to bring some mushrooms to the party; the delectable earthiness of the wine will welcome it with open arms. What sounds good to you winelovers?

Wine Spectator: Designated Top 100 Wine of 2020, #28 Rank. "This red marries the ripe fruit and toasty oak of the international style with a savory, rustic character. A thick, polished texture, supported by well-integrated tannins and balsamic acidity, carries dark plum, black pepper, soy sauce and loamy earth flavors that are seamless and long. Drink now through 2032. 2,000 cases imported. " Oct 2020

Winery: "Appearance: opaque red-black. Crimson-purple rim. Aroma: powerful impression of blackberries, with a hint of wood smoke and sweet vanilla. The nose begins to open up and develops notes of dark chocolate. Palate: the initial impact is very full bodied, with a plush, soft structure. Flavours of dark berries dominate; wild blackberries and dried plums, with notes of espresso coffee.

Food pairing: Rice based dishes like paella, beef, pork, pasta, grilled vegetables."
