It's a mouthful any way you look at it. And we've got it for the best price on the web, by far. The Bourillon Dorleans Coulee d'Argent Vieilles Vignes Vouvray Sec is a great way to enjoy summer and its delicious cuisine. Think fish, seafood, sushi, poultry and vegetable dishes. It's got a solid backbone, so it's a terrific aperitif alone, or savor your first glasses with mini crabcakes and a creamy remoulade. This Coulee d'Argent is a sec version of Vouvray, or Chenin Blanc, which means it's dry. That dryness makes it a wonderful match with creamy or buttery sauces. We're thinking seared scallops over grilled, thin asparagus with a lemon beurre blanc sauce. Or shrimp burgers over a bed of mixed greens drizzled with an Asian dressing. Individual zucchini souffles with goat cheese and a pancetta cream would be delicious too. Crisp-roasted chicken cooked with fresh herbs served next to mashed chive potatoes is a classic pairing which never disappoints. Now that summer's good and hot, we urge you to make the first course a chilled cucumber and garlic soup. That, with this Vieilles Vignes, is the stuff dreams are made of. What have you been dreaming of winelovers?

Wine Spectator:  "Lovely yellow and red apple notes mingle with enticing ginger and dried quince accents, all backed by a pure, mineral-driven finish that leaves a mouthwatering echo. Drink now through 2025. 3,750 cases made." Feb 2017

Winery: "Color: Yellow with green and silver reflections. Nose: Expressive, with predominantly white fruit (peaches and nectarines) supported by notes of fresh almonds and accacia flowers. Palate: Tender and long with flavors of browned butter and toasted hazelnuts. Pair with poached filet of sole with herb sauce."

Trade Notes: "Frederic Bourillon produces Vouvray of enormous charm and complexity. The dry Vouvray is crisp and clean with a perfect balance. Many dry Vouvrays are acidic and aggressive, but due to low yields, Frederic obtains a richness and concentration that balances well with the acidity."
