    Fantastically drinkable. That's what we have to say about the Conundrum white blend. A variety of grapes have been masterfully interwoven to create a complex yet balanced white with gorgeous, deep fruit and delightfully fresh acidity. It's under the Wagner family umbrella of wine (yes, the Caymus owner, Wagner), so that lends a big dose of street cred... Fish, chicken and pork alike will work well with the Conundrum. Fish and shellfish are our first choice, so we recommend kicking off the eating with an appetizer of lump crab cakes and celery root remoulade. Or, the delectable fruit in this white will set off a sweet-and-spicy Asian sauce beautifully when it's tossed with red peppers and calamari. An entree we look forward to with this California white is is chicken done on the grill with a white wine, apricot and scallion marinade and glaze. The floral and fruit notes combined with the rich, supple texture of this blend are able to take some gentle heat. If you're bringing in takeout, have it with an Indian chicken curry dish. We find that as we pour our last glass or two, we're in the mood for something sweet. The lovely texture and rewarding finish of the Conundrum will wow you with a decadent banana Napoleon. So many choices...

    Winery:  "Light in color - calling to mind shades of straw or sun-kissed blond  - this wine opens with the evocative scents of apricot, pineapple, honeysuckle and coconut. A slight flintiness of wet stone adds a layer of interest, due to a small portion of the wine being fermented in concrete tanks. Entry on the palate is creamy and soft, with lush flavors of Asian pear, Hawaiian fruit, apricot and brown spice. The finish brings just a wisp of acid to balance the richness of the fruit, with the distinct characteristics of each varietal in this blend creating a lasting, harmonious impression."
