This wine is from the oldest vines in this Gadais family vineyard. It is full and concentrated. Its combination of mineral, apple and citrus is delicious and rich." ~ Wine Enthusiast

Domaine de la Combe Vieilles Vignes Sur Lie Muscadet Sèvre et Maine 2016. It's a mouthful - literally and figuratively. Smooth and rich, this French white is the perfect aperitif all by itself. Or, pair it with a dozen oysters on the half shell over ice and a shallot mignonette. Fried oysters with a lemon aioli could work too... Whole branzino baked in a salt crust is what the winery recommends. We like it with gingery salmon burgers with scallions, topped with sweet chili sauce. At this fantastic price, buy a case and set aside a few bottles to see if it gets even better in 1-5 or 5-10 years. A votre santewinelovers!

Wine Enthusiast: "This wine is from the oldest vines in this Gadais family vineyard. It is full and concentrated. After 14 months lees aging and waiting for a year before release, it is now ready to drink. Its combination of mineral, apple and citrus is delicious and rich." Dec 2018

Winery:  "The outcome is a rich, concentrated and complex wine, which is well suited for cellar-keeping. In the best vintages, this cuvee can be kept for fifteen years under good conditions. It will be best served at the table with a grilled fish or roasted scallops. "
