From the world-renowned house of Huet, we have the Domaine Huet Le Haut-Lieu Vouvray, largely considered to be the pre-eminent producer of Vouvray. It's an epehemeral, beautifully minerally white the likes of which are few and far between. Don't miss out winelovers.

Wine Spectator:  "Gorgeous, with creamy-edged nectarine, yellow and green apple, pear and quince flavors that are brightly defined from start to finish, flecked with verbena and honeysuckle hints and backed by an off-dry edge on the finish. Stays fresh and pure throughout. Tempting now but there's no rush. Drink now through 2032. 600 cases made." Sep 2017

Jancis Robinson on Gaston Huet, the father of Domaine Huet Vouvrays: He is "the most respected producer of Vouvray in the Loire." Aug 2013

Winery:  "Revealing the soul of a single varietal rooted in the tufa, this semi-dry vibrates and resonates in the mouth, the natural sugar and acidity of Chenin blending harmoniously. Aery and complex, the fruit arrives early but develops even more for those who know how to wait."

Supplier Tasting Note: "Ever have serious Riesling before? Or even Champagne. A bit like that. Very mineral driven. Like rock. Slight sweetness to offset the acidity. Dinner for sure, not dessert. It ends more on the acidity than the sweetness. Super versatile with food. Pork, poultry, richer dishes with cream, scallops/lobster, more meaty fish and lots of cheeses.

Huet is THE estate of Vouvray. If I had to pick only one white wine producer in our entire book it would be Huet."
