"An elegant frame with a firm backbone of tannins and lively acidity..." ~ Wine Spectator

We think you will be impressed by the many startlingly delicious nuances of this La Serena Brunello di Montalcino. We suggest waiting a bit longer before approaching this balanced, expressive Tuscan beauty. We know, it's hard to be patient. Perhaps a bottle or two for the cellar, and a few to attempt now... Open your first bottle and give it some air while you prepare broiled eggplant and provolone bites. È questo il paradiso? The solid tannins, ultra-smooth mouthfeel, well-integrated fruit and delicate floral notes in this La Serena make it the perfect match for all meats and game, on the grill in particular. This is not a powerhouse red; it is a refined, beautifully balanced expression of Brunello. Try it with veal steaks wrapped in prosciutto and sage. If you're looking for simple yet still fabulous, fettucine with a ragu bolognese is just what you need. Lamb shanks braised with tomatoes, red wine, porcini and fresh herbs will call out the floral notes in this Brunello like a pro. At this point, everyone will be firmly planted in their seats. Open another bottle, and give them another glass to go with an aged Italian Asiago cheese. Its powerful flavor is just the ticket for this savory Sangiovese. Cosa stai aspettando?

Wine Spectator:  "Enticing from the first aromas of fresh cherry, violet and spice, this supple red is balanced and expressive. Matches an elegant frame with a firm backbone of tannins and lively acidity. Very persistent on the long, detailed aftertaste. Best from 2020 through 2036. 2,280 cases made." Web only 2017

Winery:  "Ruby red colour. Ethereal, deep, balanced nose with a wide, persistent bouquet and fine touches of fruit and spice. Elegant, soft taste; round and velvety to the palate.

Perfectly suitable with red meat, game and aged cheese. Recommended with typical Tuscan dishes."
