"Amazingly rich yet pungent Sauvignon Blanc with terrific purity and slowly rising length. Delicious now... ~ Antonio Galloni's Vinous

One of, if not the favorite Sauvignon Blanc of this writer, the Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc delights every time with its superb balance of fruit, delicious minerality and perky acidity. Sip your first glass with oysters on the half shell with either horseradish-heavy cocktail sauce or a shallot mignonette. Their brininess is perfect with this Mulderbosch. Simply grilled sea bass with a lemon/basil sauce is a lovely entree. A great choice for a light supper or lunch/brunch is a loaded Nicoise salad. Make sure to saute the onions with garlic... For off-the-charts umami, make it spaghetti with an anchovy carbonara; you won't believe your taste buds! Trot out your favorite chevre cheese as your last course and make sure the glasses are filled again. Cheers!

:  "Bright, light yellow. Alluring scents of fresh peach, gooseberry, nettles, white pepper, citrus pith and flinty minerality; time-capsule Sauvignon Blanc aromas from a great vintage. Rich, smooth and substantial but with perfectly integrated acidity giving definition and punch to its fruit and mineral flavors. This cuvee includes a good percentage of cool-climate fruit in 2015, which contributes to the wine's density and verve. Amazingly rich yet pungent Sauvignon Blanc with terrific purity and slowly rising length. Delicious now but I'd love to see this in its dotage." May 2017

Winery:  "Sourced from a selection of either cool maritime or alpine sites, the 2015 Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc expresses a wonderful spectrum of bracing varietal and site related traits. The complex nose of green fig, nettle and gooseberry aromas has real intensity, heralding the wine’s pedigree. Characterised by a zesty grapefruit texture, the palate possesses a bracing mineral core, and thrilling fruit flavours of freshly sliced rock melon and ripe green figs. In harmony, these elements create an amazingly intense, beautifully balanced wine with a sensationally long aftertaste."
