"This wine is a giant in terms of concentration and structure... Cedar wood, tobacco and charcoal aromas lead to dark..." ~ Wine Enthusiast

Six Sigma Ranch Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is our latest reserve Cab find. It's got smokey, earthy flavors galore, herbal notes, and some rich, dark fruit too, all of which are expertly balanced in a remarkably delicious wine.  Think bold, meaty flavors. We suggest savoring your first glasses with gorgonzola crostini. Follow that up with thick, char-grilled steaks with caramelized onions and a gratin of zucchini and brussels sprouts. A pot roast pork shoulder with prunes will work beautifully too. For a classic pairing, make it a butterflied leg of lamb; add a garlic-rosemary crust to bring out the cedar wood scents in the wine. Sounds good to us...

Wine Enthusiast:  Designated Cellar Selection. "This wine is a giant in terms of concentration and structure, needs plenty of time in the cellar to reach its peak of enjoyment. Cedar wood, tobacco and charcoal aromas lead to dark chocolate, sage, wood smoke and ripe black cherry flavors. The tannins are fine-grained but pervasive, adding a wonderful velvety touch to the texture. Best after 2021." May 2017

Winery:  "Quite possibly our most sophisticated vintage of this wine in recent years, our 2011 Reserve Cabernet is all class. Anise, blackberry, and bright red fruits dance with spices, old leather, and licorice on a stage of Lake County chaparral defined by pine, native sage, and volcanic ash. The lingering finish has a touch of minerality and pepper. Overall a wine in perfect balance and a delight to pair with food given its charming acidity. A classic pairing with lamb, duck and beef as well as grilled vegetables and aged cheeses. Or think pork ribs!"
