92pts Robert Parker, Jr.'s Wine Advocate

"One of the best values I’ve tasted in a long time... It has real elegance and finesse and is a dark fruited, unctuous beauty to drink over the coming 3-4 years." ~ Robert Parker, Jr.'s Wine Advocate

Like Charles Smith, we kinda love this (Wines of) Substance Cabernet Sauvignon. It's seriously drinkable winelovers. Parker's Wine Advocate calls it "one of the best values" they've tasted in a long time. You'll want it with Tuesday night spaghetti and meatballs, Saturday night pan-seared rib-eyes with herbed, scalloped potatoes, and everything in between. It's going to make you want to be a woman or a man of Substance. It's equal-opportunity delicious.

Robert Parker, Jr.'s Wine Advocate: "One of the best values I’ve tasted in a long time, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from the team at K Vintners was hand-harvested, natively fermented and aged all in French oak. Smoking good notes of cassis, black currants and hints of plum all emerge from this rich, beautifully textured, layered beauty that has solid tannic grip, a silky, elegant texture and a great finish. It has real elegance and finesse and is a dark fruited, unctuous beauty to drink over the coming 3-4 years (2017-2021)." Jun 2017

Winery: "Rich, dark, unctuous, brooding and deep. Delicious, complex and compelling. Smooth, long and amazing. A wine of true substance."

Wines of Substance M.O.: "The original thought behind Wines of Substance was to be a one wine brand, with a single minded vision to produce the best value-priced Cabernet Sauvignon in America. “How do you go about this? Traditional winemaking. Natural fermentations. Barrel-aging. Plus, bottling unfiltered and unfined. In essence, making the wines in small batch winemaking integrity, but doing so on a larger scale.” The wine is black. The label definitively says, "This is Cabernet Sauvignon." "And also, with the CS, you know who made this wine: Charles Smith." ~ Crave Magazine, Mar 2016
