Borsao Cabriola 2016
This delicious Spanish red blend will make all your meaty dreams come true, and at a price that won't hurt your wallet! Fill your glasses and savor them with bacon-wrapped chicken skewers and maybe some patatas bravas - fried potatos served with a creamy, spicy sauce. Steamed duck dumplings could be next on the menu... How does that sound?
Robert Parker, Jr's Wine Advocate: "The new impressive red blend 2016 Cabriola mixes Garnacha with Syrah and a touch of Cariñena (Mazuelo), and despite its 15.5% alcohol, it feels harmonious and balanced in an XL way. It comes in a heavy Burgundy bottle, closed with a quality cork, and it all feels like a more expensive wine. It has a modern profile, but the oak is neatly integrated and folded into the fruit that is ripe and juicy. The tannins are fine and the flavors focused." Apr 2020
Winery: "Elegant ruby and garnet color over a very deep cherry red. Aromas of vanilla with intense fruity tones and soft tannins coming from the wood. It has a long and pleasant very harmonic aftertaste, perfectly structured and fleshy.
Cabriola is a specific jumping maneuver that a horse is trained to perform after years of exacting dressage. The movement requires great technique and precisión from the rider and a horse working as a team. Much like the relationship between our winemaker and vineyards, combining masterful technique."
