Michel Rolland is a 'top gun' in Bordeaux, his home town. His well known expertise and distinguished career mean that he now works with major producers in most of the world's major winemaking regions. Clos de Los Siete is a delicious example of his skill. It's Malbec perfectly blended with four other varietals to deliver a glass brimming with flavor, dark berry fruit, slinky tannins, elegant oak, and even a hint of earthiness. Start with a rustic pate de campagne, a crusty baguette and tart cornichons. The wine will only improve it... Classic spaghetti and meatballs are a perfect fit for the next course. Or, ribs, any way. Sticky, tangy, spicy, Asian, you name it; they will all work with the lovely flavors of this Clos de Los Siete. If you want to go down the Argentine path, make it grilled skirt steak with Chimichurri sauce, or cordero, braised lamb shanks with four bean and chorizo stew. Â Buen provecho winelovers!

James Suckling: "A very refined, creamy wine, showing blackberries and blueberries with chocolate and light hazelnut notes. Medium to full body. The fine tannins are polished and creamy and the beautiful, reserved finish goes on for a really long time. Wow! Best ever, because of its length and beauty. One for the palate or the cellar. Drink or hold." Apr 2020

Wine Spectator: Designated a "Smart Buy". "Deep, rich flavors of roasted cherry, plum tart and dried savory herbs are supported by firm acidity and tannins. Features a tensile frame, with slate accents midpalate. Dusty graphite notes show on the finish. Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2024." Jun 2020
