De Sousa Cuvee 3A Grand Cru Champagne

Quantity:
Champagne isn't just for toasts anymore, winelovers!! Open a bottle of this lovely, layered De Sousa Cuvee 3A Grand Cru Champagne and you'll see what we
mean. Knock their socks off with a full glass and fried oyster sliders with a schmear of remoulade. Then move to either a first course or a light dinner
of wild mushroom tart. If it's dinner, pair it with a composed salad. Grilled chicken breasts with a grapefruit glaze will bring out the subtle citrus
in the wine. And if you're planning a brunch, put a flute of this De Sousa next to poached eggs with Parmesan and smoked salmon toasts. Sante nos amis!
Wine Enthusiast: Designated Cellar Selection. "With grapes from the three villages of Aÿ, Avize and Ambonnay, this blend of 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is a strict and firm wine, very aromatic, beautifully ripe with some roundness. Flavors of tropical fruits mix with concentrated minerality. For aging." Dec 2011
James Suckling: "Avize chardonnay (50 per cent) meets pinot noir from Aÿ and Ambonnay (25 per cent each). Some exuberant, exotic and flavorsome pink grapefruit and lighter cherry flavors with fleshy fruit presence. From organically grown grapes. Drink now." Sept 2018
Winery: "Pale gold in colour, tinged with copper highlights, this Champagne boasts intense, fine bubbles. It is dense and full, a sign of great richness, and leaves lovely legs along the side of the glass. The nose is flattering, with typical notes of Chardonnay such as lemon, pineapple, and especially mango, heightened by butteriness from its oak barrel aging. Aromas of red berries such as blackcurrant and raspberry, typical of Pinot Noir, can also be detected, along with scents of liquorice. The vinosity of the wine on the nose is echoed on the palate by the presence of Pinot Noir, which lends a velvety, unctuous smoothness to the finesse, freshness and minerality of the Chardonnay. A well-balanced wine that will delight all wine lovers who are fond of unique cuvées."
