92pts Robert Parker, Jr.'s Wine Advocate

Dive right into this delicious Elk Cove Goodrich Vineyard Pinot Noir and offer your first glasses with wild mushroom and burrata bruschetta. The earthy side of this Oregon Pinot will shine with this pairing. Follow up that culinary brilliance with a fennel-garlic pork roast and some grilled veggies on the side. Be sure to brown the roast well before cooking, so that there is plenty of mouth-watering caramelization for all to enjoy. A terrific meatless option to go with the savory, herbal notes in the wine is a homemade green lentil and vegetable curry over fluffy jasmine rice. When it gets a little cooler we say you've got to do crisp-roasted goose with roasted yams and buttery peas and carrots. Be sure you have enough Elk Cove on hand because this combo is going to make for lots of quaffing... Open another bottle and serve it with a nutty Spanish Manchego cheese, dried fruit, and some almendra fritas, quick-fried almonds tossed with salt, cumin and pimenton. It'll be the finishing touch that makes you want this meal to never end, winelovers!

Robert Parker, Jr.'s Wine Advocate: "Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Goodrich Pinot Noir has a nose of cranberry sauce, warm raspberry and strawberry jam with accents of warm cinnamon, autumn leaves and herbs. Light to medium-bodied, it gives up warm red fruits and pepper accents with a good frame of firm, fine-grained tannins and lovely mouthwatering acidity, finishing long with warm fruit and spice layers. 700 cases produced. Drink date: 2018-2025." Aug 2018

Winery: "A heady nose of blackberry, lavender and leather invites a rich, savory palate of dusty black currant and ripe raspberry. A fresh saline backbone adds depth and interest with prosciutto and earthy wild game.

Goodrich Vineyard was planted in 2007 with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in a high-density format. The property boasts the exact same marine sediment (Wil- lakenzie) soil as our Mount Richmond property and lies just a few miles from our Estate Vineyard in Gaston. This young vineyard has great promise and we were so impressed by the quality of the fruit we decided to make a Single Vineyard Pinot Noir in our very first year of farming the site."
