90pts Robert Parker, Jr's Wine Advocate

Robert Parker, Jr's Wine Advocate:  "The Boschis Francesco 2018 Langhe Barbera is a pretty wine. You get lots of fruit definition with red cherries and blackberries followed by bitter almond, candied orange and dried garden herb. The mouthfeel is not as exciting as the bouquet. Indeed, the finish is short, but you get pretty fruit flavors with a hint of Barbera bitterness and some dustings of white pepper. Fruit is drawn from a vineyard with steep, difficult inclines with 60-year-old vines. Exactly 1,784 well-priced bottles were released." Jul 2020

Winery:  "We work every day in the vineyards and our goal is to protect our health and the one of the people who drink our wines, according to the protection and respect of the environment from which we get the profit that allows us to live. For this the vines are grown without the use of chemicals, fertilizers or pesticides. We use, when the health of the vines and grapes requires that, sulfur, copper sulfate and organic manure produced in our small stable for fertilization. The vines are left grassy and are populated by many types of herbs that in the spring season also offer some flowers, such as dandelion, useful to our hives.

In the cellar the wines are neither filtered nor cold stabilized and we don't add substances that may change the texture, the flavor or the nature of the wines.

Our business could be classified as organic, but we prefer not to be certified by an external body, just because we believe it is more important to carry out the work with the care and attention necessary according with our passion and ideal rather than do the same job only because it is dictateted by an external institution or by the market needs."
