Grounded Wine Co
Grounded by Josh Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Winery: "A moderately warm summer throughout our Central Coast and Northern Interior vineyards allowed us to ripen our fruit over an extended period, resulting in the gradual development of enhanced dark fruit flavors and tannins. Our Central Coast blocks were the last ones picked, in late October, when cool night temperatures helped the fruit retain good color and acidity.
Coordination between winery and vineyard teams allowed us to harvest, sort and process optimally ripe fruit under ideal conditions. Winemaking, oak aging and blending were carefully monitored at each step to enhance the wine’s natural identity.
Red garnet in color, with a youthful purple hue, our 2020 Grounded Wine Co. California Cabernet Sauvignon leads with heady aromas of black cherry, cassis and licorice. On the palate, the wine shows ripe blackberry, dusty cocoa and sweet oak that complement the silky texture of this classic Cabernet throughout its long, aromatic finish."
