Guigal Cotes-du-Rhone Rouge 2017
Antonio Galloni's Vinous: "Saturated ruby. Ripe black raspberry and cherry aromas are complicated by suggestions of cracked pepper, allspice and pungent flowers. Supple, appealingly sweet red and blue fruit preserve flavors gain energy with air, and a bright mineral element adds back-end lift. Supple tannins add shape to a persistent, floral-accented finish, which leaves cherry and spice notes behind. Drink 2020-2025.” Apr 2020
Winery: "Eye: Deep and dark red. Shiny. Nose: Fresh fruits with red berries and spices. Palate: Full, round and racy. Rounded and smooth tannins. A full-bodied, rich and intensely aromatic wine. Overall: Full with a long finish and plenty of elegance and finesse due to the well balanced tannins and fruit. Pair with cold meats, meat, game birds and cheeses."
