Hardin Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Quantity:
Here's the skinny on this Hardin Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2003 Doug Polaner, one of the fine wine importers, was visiting Napa wineries that produced high end, $100-200 Napa Cabs. He noticed that many of these wineries had barrels of juice which they weren't using for their own wines. That's because they didn't make the celestial cut, but overall the juice was still in the very top ranks. Most likely, those barrels would be sold to other wineries and made into $40-70 Cabernets. Doug decided that he was going to head those other wineries off at the pass and create a Napa Cabernet that drinks like a $50+ bottle, but costs a lot less. Here it is.
The Hardin Cabernet Sauvignon is a combination of to valley floor and hillside sites, a wine that displays the richness and power of the vintage. Deep, intense, plum, dark cherry and spice are prevalant right away on the nose and palate. The signature of the vintage is then on full display with minerality, balancing structure and a vibrant, fresh core that lifts the fruit and carries the wine. A classic Napa Cab that will drink well for many years.
