The history of the Hugel family's wine producing affiliation dates back to 1639. Together, the centuries and generations of the Hugel family have brought us to this point; the Hugel name is one of great renown and respect when it comes to their Alsatian Rieslings. The Hugel Classic Riesling is one of impeccable balance. Gorgeous acidity balances the delicious fruit, and beautiful minerality only makes this wine more food friendly. Try your first glass solo, so that you may truly enjoy the many layers of flavor. And perhaps bring out the crab cake bites for your second glass. Coq au Riesling is a wonderful entree option. Sautee chicken legs and drumsticks with a Riesling, creme fraiche and mushroom sauce, topped with a sprinkle of fresh tarragon. Your palate will rejoice! Sauteed red snapper with a tomato-bell pepper salsa is another great option.
