Kono Sauvignon Blanc 2019
- Steamed artichokes with lemon aioli and zucchini fritters dipped into that same aioli
- Fish and chips (the wine's acidity is perfect for it), or the Seven Fishes meal
- Whole-roasted striped bass with potatoes and thyme
- Spaghetti with anchovy carbonara (Wine Diva favorite)
- French Le Roule cheese
Grapes for this wine are grown on a range of both Kono owned and managed sites, as well as from dedicated growers that are located throughout the main viticultural areas of Marlborough. The Waihopai, Awatere, and Rapaura sub- regions are all represented in this blend; and all bring a different flavour profile to the finished wine."
Fun Fact: A kono is a basket woven out of harakeke (New Zealand flax) which was traditionally used by Māori to serve food.
