92pts James Suckling
In the mood for grilled or barbecued meats? Then you should open a bottle of Mendel Lunta Malbec. It's got ripe, dark fruit, beautifully integrated tannins and just the right amount of spice. Grill up some chorizo sausages and offer them with a generous glass of the Mendel and an Argentian parsley sauce for dipping. After that, we think blue cheese lamb burgers are the perfect entree. Maybe with a schmear of basil mayo?? Roasted beef tenderloin is more sophisticated, but equally delicious, especially if there's a rich au jus on top. We love the fruit in this Lunta with the vinegary side of pulled pork sandwiches. Creamy cole slaw inside the bun is optional...

James Suckling: "Dark walnut and berry character. Medium body, silky and polished tannins and a flavorful finish. Really delicious now." Jun 2017

Winery: "Color: Dark red ruby. Nose: Fruity and fresh. This wine expressed rip red and and black fruits such as raspberries, plums and blackberries. It also displays aromas of violets. Because of its oak aging, it evokes subtle vanilla, caramel and spices which give this Malbec complexity. Mouth: It is smooth, fruity and easy to drink. Its balafince between its oral and fruity notes with its acidity give this Malbec intensity, freshness and liveliness. Its ripe and sweet tannis provide this wine with a rm structure and balance. Drink 2016-2026. Serve at at 62-64 degrees F."
