90pts Robert Parker, Jr's Wine Advocate
You'll want to pour the Paola Scavino Sorriso Langhe with your favorite salads, fish, shellfish, chicken and lighter pasta dishes, or, when you want to brighten your day at cocktail hour. It's crisp and luminous with subtle citrus and stone fruit, all wrapped together in a beautifully mineral frame. We can't get enough, which is why it's one of our wine club selections. Serve it alongside an asparagus salad with shallots, grated egg and sherry vinaigrette. Lobster rolls with melted butter and mayo are a natural next course. And if you've got a little time on your hands, make it a lemon and crab risotto. It wouldn't hurt next to a slice of key lime pie topped with a generous blob of whipped cream. How does that sound?

Robert Parker, Jr's Wine Advocate: "Closed in a screw cap bottle, the Paolo Scavino 2020 Langhe Sorriso is a blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon with some Viognier. This is a luminous and bright white wine that delivers the goods in terms of fruit intensity, freshness and crisp minerality. Passion fruit, grapefruit and summer peach rise cheerfully from the glass." Jun 2021

Winery: "Pale yellow with emerald hues. Fresh and charming nose with white flowers, sage, yellow and orange fruits in addition to mineral notes. The delicate flavors continue on the palate where a soft texture is combined with sapid and cleaning acidity.

Since 2000, the Langhe D.O.C. SORRISO®, is a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Viognier. A fresh white wine vinified and aged in stainless steel with distinctive character and finesse. A unique combination of these three varietals in the Langhe region which comes from the belief in our noble terroir able to enhance the elegance and complexity of the grapes."
