For starters, we recommend bacon, smoked Gouda and caramelized onion crostatas. You don't really need them, because a glass of this Philip Togni by itself is treat enough. This fine Cabernet has many delicious, earthy and fruit flavors as well as beautiful minerality and hints of fresh herbs. It's your choice which you'd like to accentuate. The edgy tannins in this Napa red will go beautifully with a classic steak frites. If you prefer it with some serious comfort food, we can't think of anything better than a piping hot bowl of pappardelle tossed with a duck bolognaise. A little off the beaten path would be a lamb pesto pizza done one the grill. It will blow your mind with this stunning Togni Cabernet. Whatever you decide to do next is up to you, just make sure you've got another bottle waiting in the wings or there may be not-so-civil unrest.

Winery: "For those of you unfamiliar with our vineyard, we are located at 2000 feet elevation on Spring Mountain, in the western hills of the Napa Valley, so that we are above the fog line in a climatic zone totally different from the valley floor. The ten-acre vineyard is planted as 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. The wine is estate bottled and extremely long lived.
The 2015 was a short crop of only 48 barrels in a year that suffered from drought conditions and was very hot during harvest, which began on September 9th."
