The Raymond Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is ready to drink now so pour it with meaty hors d'oeuvres, pan-seared lamb chops with a mint chutney, eggplant stuffed with ground lamb, pine nuts and a sprinkle of cinnamon and lots more. It's got delicious ripe fruit, a wonderful earthy side and the personality to pair with most any holiday pairings on the hearty side.
Robert Parker, Jr.'s Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Reserve is composed of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, coming from more than 20 different sites, with 29% coming from estate vineyards in St. Helena and Rutherford. It was aged in French oak barrels, 37% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it rocks up with ready-for-business scents of blackcurrant pastilles, redcurrant jelly and Morello cherries with hints of dried Provence herbs, pencil shavings and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with crunchy black fruits, supported by firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and savory. Drink date: 2021-2032." Feb 2021
Winery: "A dark purple in the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a beautiful nose of blue and black fruits. Expressive flavors of raspberry and blackberries are met with blackcurrant and warm plum. The wine has a lovely freshness and vibrancy with a medium bodied midpalate. Textured with plush tannins, the finish is smooth and velvety."
