Mission accomplished! The Pinot Project has accomplished its goal of being one of the greatest red wine values coming out of California. It is hand-crafted from grapes grown in notable AVA’s such as; Sonoma County, Carneros & Monterey. The Pinot Project has a full and silky mouth feel, with just the right amount of acidity to complement a variety of dishes. The wine is 100% stainless steel fermented with the caps receiving periodic punchdowns, before finishing dry with just a kiss of oak.
We've featured 5 vintages of this ultimately quaffable Pinot, and managed to keep the price under $15 yet again! Our advice: get a case… Then, open a bottle while you assemble a platter of fire-roasted tomato bruschetta. That ought to start things off nicely. This silky Pinot is crazy food-friendly, allowing countless options. We love steaming bowls of fresh fetuccine tossed with chicken liver and grape tomato sauce; it's decadently rich and matches the timbre of the wine perfectly. If you'd like to appeal to the spice and oak in the wine, make it roasted eggplant stuffed with lamb and pine nuts. If you're feeding a crowd, go for a smokey glazed ham with a red pepper jelly. It's got sweet, smoke and salt; what else do you need? Maybe another bottle so you can refill your glasses and finish them off with a French Comte cheese and some crusty peasant bread.
Winery: "Hand-crafted from the finest California Pinot Noir grapes. Pure Pinot aromas and flavors -- black cherries kissed by oak and complimented by just the right amount of Asian spice. Extremely versatile with a host of your favorite dishes. Enjoy in moderation as soon as possible. This label will self-destruct in 5 seconds."
