Antonio Galloni's Vinous: "The 2004 Dom Perignon Rose has put on remarkable weight over the last year or so. A rich, voluptuous wine, the 2004 Rose hits the palate with stunning depth and resonance. The flavors are bold, rich and beautifully resonant from start to finish. Raspberry, cranberry, smoke, spice and crushed rocks build to the stunning, powerful finish. Vinous and ample, the 2004 Rose will drink well for decades. The 2004 just keeps getting better with time in bottle. Drinking window: 2018-2044." Jul 2015

Wine Spectator: "The smoke-tinged, minerally nose leads to well-spiced and expansive flavors of white raspberry, blood orange zest, toasted brioche and pickled ginger in this well-toned rosé Champagne. A satiny mousse and mouthwatering acidity frame the elegant finish. Drink now through 2029." Web Only 2016.

Wine Enthusiast: "This is a very fine wine with considerable bottle age. From its orange-pink color to its mature toast and almond flavors, this complex wine is much more than the fruit that has merged with the secondary flavors. Light tannins and a crisp texture are balanced by the softness that comes from the relatively high dosage. The wine, beautifully mature, is ready to drink." Dec 2015

Winery: "Dom Perignon is vintage only. Each vintage wine is created from the best grapes grown in one single year. To reinvent itself by interpreting the unique character of the seasons. To dare to declare the vintage only when the harvest meets its ideal. Such is the commitment of Dom Perignon.

Dom Perignon Rose requires a unique savoir-faire: to integrate the richness of Pinot Noir while remaining faithful to the style and maintaining the balance. Dom Perignon Rose requires a longer maturation, 9-10 years in the cellars vs 7-8 years for the blanc.

Michael Riedel is a German contemporary artist known for his work with text and objects using existing materials. For Dom Perignon, Riedel created a pattern using the letters D & P, assembled and piled upon themselves hundreds of times to create a unique image. The pattern represents an aggregation of layers, illustrating the years of maturation and the complexity of the wine.

On the nose: The nose sings out loud and clear, beginning with fresh, intense red fruit: redcurrants and wild strawberries, complemented by warm notes of ripe hay, blood orange and cocoa. On the palate, the attack is smooth and embracing, but it is the impression of precision that dominates in the end. The wine’s chiseled integrity, intense and penetrating, is prolonged with the unexpected hint of green citrus that marks the vintage.
