    91pts Antonio Galloni's Vinous

"Aromas of ripe pear, papaya and white flowers... Large-scale and ripe in the mouth, too, but quite precise, offering lingering fruit-driven flavors of lime, canned peach and herbs. This is very expressive..." ~ Antonio Galloni's Vinous

It's a gorgeous white that's brimming with fruit, floral and honey notes, with lovely minerality, a subtle nuttiness and a hint of herbs. Don't serve it too cold, because you want the ripe flavors to really come through. We love it as an aperitif all by itself. If you require something to nibble on, then make it a caprese salad made with buratta cheese instead of the usual mozzarella. Drizzle your best olive oil and aged balsamico, and a generous pinch of sea salt. You'll be glad you did... Salt and pepper flash fried calamari are a truly delicious alternative. As for your entree, go for the wow factor with whole branzino baked in salt. It's remarkably tender and flavorful. Linguini with homemade pesto is another great choice. Or, sauteed crabcakes. Make sure they're heavy on the chunks of crab meat, and very, very light on those bread crumbs, so that the flavor of the ocean is what you're getting. Chi è affamato winelovers?!

Antonio Galloni's Vinous:  "Dark straw-yellow. Aromas of ripe pear, papaya and white flowers, complicated by lime, on the rich, showy nose - smells like a fruit cocktail! Large-scale and ripe in the mouth, too, but quite precise, offering lingering fruit-driven flavors of lime, canned peach and herbs. This is very expressive already considering the early stage of its life in bottle, and it will appeal more to those who like their Fiano on the ripe, tropical-fruit-infused side. Drink 2016-2019."
