Vinous: "The 2019 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Lucanto shows musky cherries, wild herbs and hints of wet stone. It’s silky in feel, with a pronounced inner sweetness showing ripe red berries and spice. Zesty acids fizzle out through the mouth-watering finale under an air of inner florals. This is a fruit-forward and high-energy effort built for early consumption." 

Winery: "Deep ruby red, consistent. Intense, persistent and fine, intense and enjoyable of blackberry, raspberry, black cherry, plum, blueberry and violet. Warm, soft, fruity, with intense sensations of ripe black cherry and blackberry; remarkably persistent with soft tannins, velvety, balanced and harmonious. Limestone and clay soils Hand-harvested and fermented and aged in stainless steel for 9 months, plus 6 months in bottle."
