The winery only made in three vintages (1992, 2002 and 2014) of Fascia Rossa when the estate did not make any Brunello in the vintage, instead they declassified all of the grapes to Rosso di Montalcino. Fascia Rossa (red band) refers to the red band on the label, and produced only in vintages considered not strong enough to bottle Brunello.
