Dancing Hares Napa Valley Red Blend 2015
Robert Parker, Jr.'s Wine Advocate:"The 2015 Dancing Hares Proprietary Red, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, is very deep purple-black in color with a nose of spice cake, plum pudding, crème de cassis, cigar box, licorice and menthol with a waft of dried herbs. Medium to full-bodied, fresh and concentrated with firm, fine-grained tannins, it finishes fresh and long. Drink 2017-2037. 350 cases were made." Dec 2017
Winery: "Dancing Hares has always been a red wine blend that features four of the Bordeaux varietals- Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The fruit is grown on our estate vineyard in the St Helena AVA within Napa Valley. The 2015 vintage is no exception. The rocky and well-drained soil of our vineyard yields small berries and highly concentrated fruit. The 2015 estate blend features dark fruit aromatics- black current, blackberry, and plum. These fruit characters are balanced by black pepper, violet, lavender and a hint of licorice. On the palate, the wine has full body with a bold structure that settles into a lingering and balanced finish. This wine is fruit forward and powerful in its youth, though will develop into a more complex, textured and sensitive wine with cellar age."
