Domaine de Baron'Arques Limoux Rouge 2010
92/100 Points, James Suckling
92 Points, James Suckling: "Aromas of ripe fruit with fresh herbs and green walnuts that follow through to a full body, round and velvety tannins and decadent fruit. Delicious finish. A fascinating wine now that has evolved beautifully. Drink now."
91 Points, Wine Enthusiast: "Reminding me of a Washington State Bordeaux blend, this beauty gives up lots of sweet blackberry and black currant-like fruit intermixed with licorice, pencil shavings, toasted bread and spice. This all gives way to medium to full-bodied, ripe, nicely textured red that has a stacked mid-palate, high quality tannin and a great finish. It will have 10-12 years or more of longevity."
Winery: "The wine is a deep and dark garnet red.
The nose, complex and precise, opens on wild berry fruit aromas, developing black cherry notes with airing. The clean, well-balanced and highly complex attack reveals succulent fruit, refined and flavoursome tannins, some spice notes and a touch of cocoa. The powerful mid-palate builds on notes of cedarwood and eucalyptus to a long, luscious, liquorice-flavoured finish."
