91 Points, Wine Enthusiast

The Greco di Tufo grape is somewhat lesser known, but we love it for its fruit, sturdy body, and gorgeous acidity. The Feudi di San Gregorio Greco di Tufo is no exception. It's pert and delicious, with lovely acidity and minerality. Translation: crazy food friendly. Work on those first glasses with a platter of your favorite sushi. Fried calamari is another great option. Or, if you've got some time on your hands, make it stuffed, deboned chicken wings stuffed with basil, bread crumbs, parmesan and lemon zest. Roasted pork belly with roasted fennel will shine opposite this San Gregorio; the acidity and zing of the wine is perfect for the rich pork belly. A seafood pasta with fresh herbs, a little garlic and a splash of cream works well too. Crisp-roasted chicken with tangerine and lemon slices, garlic and rosemary in the cavity will have them coming back to refill their glasses again and again. What looks good to you winelovers?

Wine Enthusiast:  "Spring blossom, wild herb and cantaloupe aromas waft out of the glass on this lovely white. Bright and polished, the tangy palate offers ripe pear, Meyer lemon and a hint of almond alongside a mineral vein of saline."

Winery: "The perfume is intense and persistent. One can recall in the nose clear sensations of fruit. For the taste, one immediately perceives the broad acidity and the spicy minerality, typical of a vine culitvated in Tufo. Immediately following, there are soft notes of balsamic. Drink with raw fish, bufala mozzarella and first courses of white meats."

The best wine presentation at this tasting.

I have been enjoying this wine while I'm in Italy for the last few years and finally had a chance to visit this winery along with a group of people. It was the best presenation I have ever seen at a winery and I have been to many. I was not aware that they also made olive oil which was as good as the wine was. I ordered a case and mixed a few bottles of the olive oil in with some of the wine to be shipped to the US and it was delivered intact and on time. Now I get to enjoy my tastes from Italy in my own home. Can't wait to go back.
