Winery: "Domaine de Roure is a biodiversity refuge located in the northern side of Crozes-Hermitage. The estate is 1.4 hectares and hosts a variety of old Syrah and Marsanne vines, average age random from 40-60 years old. Jaboulet purchased the “Domaine Raymond Roure” vineyard in 1996 and has since cultivated a very small batch of very high-quality biodynamic wine.
100% Marsanne (mainly very old) from the northern zone sandy, loess ground, no destemming from 2006 on, 25-33% egg vat fermented (since 2009), raised, 67%-75% new-4 year 600-litre & some 228-litre oak cask fermented, raised 7-8 months, malo blocked (until 2007 vat fermented 1 day, then fermented, raised 80% new), 20% 1-2-3-4 year oak casks 11 months), lees hardly stirred (reduced since 2009), malo blocked, 3,900-4,000."
